A Puppy's First Vaccine: Raya's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today was a tuff day – the day of my first vaccine.

My new hooman pawrents took me to this horrible place where the people were nice at first. But then, they grabbed me and pinched me! Ouch!!!

It all started as a normal day. I woke up, ate, and played with my pawrents for a while. Then, they said it was time to go.

I was really excited to get in the car because I loove looking out the window and seeing new things.

We drove to this place that was filled with other doggies and cats’ hairs. There were soo many different smells! I loved smelling each and every one of them everywhere.

We waited a bit and then we went into this room that had a weird looking table that went up and down. I don’t think I’d ever seen any of those before!

We waited some more in this room…

There was this picture with words on the wall that my pawrents really liked for some reason.

They kept looking at it!

After a while, this hooman person dressed all in the same color took me and put me on the table.

I was soo scared I started shaking so my daddy had to come and hug me so I would calm down.

Time for the First Vaccine

The other hooman person said I was going to get my first vaccine. I wasn’t sure what that meant so I didn’t think anything of it. But then, she brought out a pointy thing!

I tried to run away but my daddy said it was important that I get this first vaccine thing, and held me some more. I calmed down a bit and before I knew it, that first vaccine thing was done and over with.

Phheewwww!

I thought for a moment that this would be the last time we would have to do this. But then, my pawrents got this chart that said I would have to do this again a LOT of other times in the future.
